To identify hub genes associated with GSR resistance, we deployed WGCNA to construct co-expression networks, in which a series of genes were identified to be significantly enriched at the early stage of fungal infection, including ethylene-responsive transcription factor ABI4, E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase ATL31, putative protein kinase superfamily protein, putative carboxylesterase 15, and putative RING zinc finger domain superfamily, suggesting their potential involvement in defense response at the early stage upon infection. Here, UBE2E3 is linked to infection.
