Three predictive models were included for AKI, need for ICU admission and mortality in which the independent variables derived from the early analysis of urine, together with an age above 65 years old, the presence of CKD and levels of serum markers such as albumin, sodium and LDH may represent a useful tool in the management of patients requiring hospital admission for a SARS-CoV-2 infection. The gene discussed is ALB; the disease is acute kidney injury.
