In the phase 2 CONTROL study evaluating antidiarrheal strategies for neratinib in early-stage HER2+ breast cancer, using the weekly-dose escalation regimen with neratinib during the first weeks of therapy was associated with a low incidence of Grade 3 diarrhea, but was also associated with fewer treatment discontinuations and dose holds51 (Ruiz-Borrego et al., SABCS 2020, Abstract PS13-20). This evidence concerns the gene ERBB2 and breast carcinoma.
