Altogether, these results indicate that Rhus tripartita extracts can attenuate the phosphorylation of mTORC1 substrate S6Ser2040–244 and mTORC2 downstream target AKT-Ser473 in acute monocytic leukaemia THP-1 cells, suggesting that the cell cycle arrest and apoptosis induced by Rhus tripartita extracts involve the PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling pathway. This evidence concerns the gene MTOR and adult acute monocytic leukemia.
