NFKB1 and hypertensive disorder: In summary, we believe that the increased expression of CCR5 in the PVH may be one of the mechanisms of the SHR blood pressure increase, and that CCR5 may mediate the activation of the NF-κB and MAPK signalling pathways and the renin-angiotensin system to increase the sympathetic nerve outflow, eventually leading to high blood pressure.
