Mice injected with Taxol showed no obvious changes in alkaline phosphatase, albumin, and blood urea nitrogen levels, but had 52.3-fold higher alanine transferase levels (1674.7 ± 261.4 U/L at 2 weeks-post injection versus 32.0 ± 6.2 U/L at pre-injection), which may indicate liver damage caused by hepatitis, infection or cirrhosis.
