More and more chemotherapy and molecular targeted drugs were found effective in advanced-stage HCC patients: regorafenib (similar to sorafenib) [15, 16]; lenvatinib (inhibitor of VEGFR1–3, FGFR1–4, PDGFRα, RET, and KIT) [4]; cabozantinib (inhibitor of MET, VEGFR2, AXL, RET, and KIT) [17]; ramucirumab (monoclonal antibody targets against VEGFR2) [18]; and nivolumab (inhibitor of programmed cell death protein-1 immune checkpoint) [19]. The gene discussed is PDGFRA; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
