In conventional blood tests, all 24 patients had elevated WBCs, CRP, and AESR, of which 2 were positive for ANAs, 1 was positive for SSA, 1 was positive for dsDNA, 1 had complement deficiency, 2 were positive for HLA-B27, and 1 had lupus nephritis revealed by renal biopsy, all of which were consistent with the characteristics of the HA20 clinical phenotype. This evidence concerns the gene CRP and complement deficiency.
