KCND3 and diabetic kidney disease: Based on platelet RNA sequencing of venous blood platelets, we identified 2097 genes with differential transcript levels in platelets of patients with diabetic kidney disease compared to patients with chronic kidney disease and 462 genes with differential transcript levels compared to healthy controls, and found nine potential biomarkers, with KCND3 identified as the most promising biomarker for clinical diagnosis of diabetic kidney disease.
