From the preclinical data of Aggen et al., it was reported that anti-IL1β monotherapy or combination therapy with anti-IL1β plus anti-PD-1/cabozantinib inhibited tumor growth significantly in a renal cell carcinoma model through decreasing immunosuppressive myeloid-derived suppressor cells and increasing M1-TAMs in TME (63). This evidence concerns the gene IL1B and renal cell carcinoma.
