Several driver genes alterations, including EGFR (epidermal growth factor receptor) activating mutations, ALK (anaplastic lymphoma kinase) rearrangement, ROS1 (repressor of silencing 1) fusions, BRAF (B-Raf proto-oncogene, serine/threonine kinase) mutations, MET (MET proto-oncogene, receptor tyrosine kinase) alterations, and RET (ret proto-oncogene) fusions, are frequently detected in the patients with NSCLC (3). This evidence concerns the gene BRAF and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
