Since CXCL8 is a ligand for CXCR1/CXCR2 and their expression levels are related, lack of CXCL8 (IL-8) in the mouse genome has been an essential limiting factor regarding the further investigation of targeting, so we examined the function of the chemokine receptor CXCR1/CXCR2 in two colon tumor models. The gene discussed is CXCR2; the disease is colonic neoplasm.
