Several TWAS significant genes were also dysregulated in brains of depression cases compared with controls (including PCDHA8, FANCL, TMEM161B-AS1, GMPPB, STAU1, NDUFA2, GPX1 and PCDHA7), implying that genetic variants may contribute to depression risk by regulating gene expression. Here, FANCL is linked to depressive symptom measurement.
