CHRNA7 and injury: Previous reports have demonstrated the anti-inflammatory and protective effects of the α7nAChR agonists in murine models of mechanical ventilation-induced acute lung injury (Kox et al., 2011) hyperoxia-induced acute lung injury (Sitapara et al., 2020), radiation induced lung injury (Mei et al., 2018), and LPS-induced acute lung injury (Zhao et al., 2019).
