Differential expression of NG genes revealed that most of the candidate disease genes, for example, BAG3, RAB29, STX4, and FAM126A, potentially associated with Parkinson's disease; and CACNB2, EMX1, and AKT3 (potentially associated with schizophrenia) had higher expression in Lab E neurons and/or glial cells, with only HIP1R having higher expression in Lab D neurons (Supplemental Fig. S9E,F). This evidence concerns the gene AKT3 and Parkinson disease.
