In the present study, we found 76 candidate miRNAs that may be potential targets of PCNAP1 using miRDB, but we consider miR-340-5p being the most potential candidate due to the fact that (1) miR-340-5p ranks the top in TargetScore and (2) miR-340-5p has been shown to be downregulated in HCC and inhibits HCC cell proliferation [16]. The gene discussed is PCNAP1; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
