Indeed, previous work has shown that Ahr ablation in mice resulted in a variety of developmental aberrations and pathologies, including neonatal lethality rates, inflammation of bile ducts, depletion of splenic lymphocytes, skin lesions, cardiac hypertrophy, portal vascular hypertrophy, pyloric hyperplasia of the gastrointestinal tract, and patent ductus venosus46–50.
