After adjustment for the BIOSTAT‐CHF risk score and biomarkers related to inflammation that were also associated with the primary outcome at P < 0.005 (cystatin B, interleukins 1, 6 and 17, osteoprotegerin, TNF receptors 1 and 2 and TNF receptor superfamily members 13B and 14), NLR remained significantly associated with the primary outcome (HR 1.17; 95% CI 1.09–1.25, P < 0.001) as summarized in Table3.
