SLC19A1 and cervical cancer: Accordingly, 7 genes, PRAME, HMGA2, ETV4, MEX3A, TM7SF2, SLC19A1, and TTYH3, displayed consistent results in terms of mRNA and protein levels obtained using qPCR, western blotting, and IHC methods, as they showed significantly higher expression in HPV-negative cervical cancer cells and tissues than in HPV-positive cervical cancer and normal cells or tissues, implying that these 7 genes are more likely to play pivotal roles in the development of HPV-negative cervical cancer.
