IRF2BP2 and stroke disorder: IRF2BP2 is necessary to mediate the anti-inflammatory and protective effects of IFN-β cytokines on stroke injury (Cruz et al., 2017), and IRF2BP2-deficient microglia block the anxiolytic effect of enhanced postnatal care (EPC) by reducing inflammatory cytokine expression in the hypothalamus (Hari et al., 2017).
