During the progression of colon cancer, cyclin genes might be tightly associated with the cell cycle, hormone ER, the RAS/MAPK pathway, mismatch repair, mTORC1 signaling, KRAS signaling, etc., and they are closely correlated with BIRC5, PLK1, and BCL2L12. Furthermore, the high expression of cyclin genes was related to the drug resistance of several MEK and EGFR inhibitors. This evidence concerns the gene BIRC5 and malignant colon neoplasm.
