It has been demonstrated that miR-138-5p inhibited cell migration, invasion and EMT in breast cancer by directly targeting RHBDD1 (34), and repressed progression of breast cancer via NEAT1/miR-138-5p/ZFX axis (35), these previous results strongly indicated miR-138-5p was a tumor suppressor in breast cancer.
