Yu and colleagues suggested that benzoylaconine suppresses IL-1β-induced expression of IL-6 and IL-8 via inhibition of activation of mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) (i.e., extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK), c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK), p38), protein kinase B (Akt) and nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB) pathways in SW982 human synovial sarcoma cells (Yu et al., 2020).
