However, in this study, by comparing ABCC5 mRNA expression levels in metastatic and primary prostate cancer foci from the TCGA prostate cancer database and several GEO prostate cancer databases, we showed that ABCC5 was abnormally highly expressed in prostate cancer metastases and found a higher pathological Gleason score as well as a shorter biochemical recurrence-free survival in prostate cancers with high expression of ABCC5. The gene discussed is ABCC5; the disease is prostate carcinoma.
