The overall survival in patients with high SUMO2 expression was shorter than that in patients with low SUMO2 expression (23.0 vs 61.0 months, respectively; P < 0.001), indicating that the high expression level of SUMO2 protein is a predictor of poor prognosis in patients with HCC (Fig. 2B).
