We would recommend that, when in doubt of the histology, a panel of immunostains, including stains redundant for a diagnosis (e.g., PTEN, ARID1a, and ER for endometrioid adenocarcinoma; HNF1β, Napsin A, and AMACR for clear cell carcinoma; and p16 and p53 for serous carcinoma), be performed rather than relying on a single immunostain. The gene discussed is NAPSA; the disease is endometrioid adenocarcinoma.
