With cell proliferation assay, wound healing assay, and transwell assay, we found that glycolytic inhibitor 2-deoxy-D-glucose (2-DG) abolished miR-1224-3p- and PGM5 knockdown-mediated promotion of proliferation and migration in breast cancer cells (Figures 6(a)–6(d)), suggesting that the miR-1224-3p/PGM5 axis regulates breast cancer cell proliferation and migration through glycolysis. Here, PGM5 is linked to breast cancer.
