In a B16 melanoma cell C57BL/6 mouse model, intraperitoneal injection of poly (I:C) can inhibit lung and liver metastasis of B16 cells in a manner dependent on NK cells and IFN-γ, along with increasing the number of IFN-producing killer DCs in the spleen, lung and liver (39). The gene discussed is IFNG; the disease is melanoma.
