Curcumin has shown potential therapeutic effects on various diseases such as neurodegenerative disorders, inflammation-related diseases, fibrosis and cancers via regulating NF-κB, Wnt/β-catenin, MAPK and mTOR signaling pathways (Iqbal et al., 2009), which also are involved in the pathogenesis of ADPKD. This evidence concerns the gene NFKB1 and autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease.
