TNF and type 1 diabetes mellitus: The levels of IL7 (2.3 ± 0.6 vs 1.4 ± 0.6; p = 0.005), IL8 (4.7 ± 1.3 vs 2.8 ± 0.5; p = 0.003), TNF-α (1.6 ± 0.2 vs 1.4 ± 0.2; p = 0.041) and VEGF-C (63.2 ± 20.3 vs 50.8 ± 48.2; p = 0.013) were detected to be significantly greater in T1DM patients compared to controls as reported previously by us [11].
