PPIB and Ascites: In total, 222 (88.8%; IQR: 84.2–92.4) participants had a positive test for S. mansoni and 44 (17.6%; IQR: 13.1–22.9) tested positive for hepatitis B. Ascites was found in 155 (62.0%; 95% CI 55.7–68.0) participants, and both dilated portal veins and splenomegaly were common with median measurements in centimeters of 1.5 (IQR: 1.4–1.9) and 17 (IQR: 15–18) respectively (Table 1).
