TP53 mutation has been reported to impact clinical outcome by facilitating genomic instability,19 but we did not observe any relationship between response to osimertinib and specific co‐occurring variants in genes such as TP53 or PIK3CA. According to Jaml‐Hanjani's report on tumor evolution of NSCLC, genomic doubling caused intra‐tumor heterogeneity of copy number alterations and mutations, and that was associated with poor outcome.3 This evidence concerns the gene TP53 and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
