Patients with a VEGF-D higher than 800 pg/mL were significantly younger (median age 32 yrs, IQR 26–37 vs. 37 yrs, IQR 30–49; p = 0.005); they were diagnosed with LAM at a younger age (median age 32 yrs, IQR 24–36 vs. 44 yrs, IQR 29–56; p = 0.072), and had more frequent chylothoraces (19 vs. 0%, p = 0.034). The gene discussed is VEGFD; the disease is lymphangioleiomyomatosis.
