NUPR1, also known as p8 and a candidate of metastasis 1 (Sandi et al., 2011), is a transcriptional coregulator that plays regulatory roles in various types of malignant tumors, including pancreatic cancer, multiple myeloma, and bladder cancer (Emma et al., 2016; Ito et al., 2005; Veerla et al., 2008; Zeng et al., 2018).
