Their experimental results showed that the highly expressed circHIPK3 in the myocardial ischemia–reperfusion injury model could aggravate myocardial ischemia–reperfusion injury by binding with miR-124-3p, up-regulating pro-apoptotic Bax and down-regulating anti-apoptotic Bcl-2, [2].
