According to the previous publications, miR-16-5p functioned as tumor suppressor to restrain cancer development in multiple cancers, such as breast cancer [19], colorectal cancer [20], non-small cell lung cancer [21] and GC [22–24], and the associated LncRNAs, including LncRNA AGAP2-AS1 [25], LncRNA PVT1 [20], and LncRNA MEG3 [26] that could be targeted by miR-16-5p.
