MAP1LC3A and myocardial infarction: SIRT3 overexpression in the myocardium also induced a marked reduction in autophagy and resistance to ischaemic injury, as evidenced by a reduced LC3‐II/I ratio (Figure 5D), decreased myocardial infarct size (24.96% ± 5.78% in the Adv‐SIRT3 group vs. 46.04% ± 5.74% in the Adv‐EGFP group, P < .05, Figure 5E) and elevated LVEF and LVFS (Figure 5F).
