During revision of this manuscript, low-dose kinase inhibitor combinations targeting the EGFR-RAS-RAF-MEK-ERK pathway have been shown in pancreatic cancer and NSCLC to be effective at inhibiting primary tumor growth and inducing apoptosis (Fernandes Neto et al., 2020; Ozkan-Dagliyan et al., 2020), similar to our findings that targeting p38-JNK-ERK MAPKs with low-dose treatments will suppress metastasis and, in some cases, tumor growth. The gene discussed is RAF1; the disease is non-small cell lung carcinoma.
