Numerous studies have documented the presence of a wide variety of autoantibodies in patients with COVID-19, with antinuclear antibody (ANA) reported in up to 40%-50% of severe cases [58, 59], and anti-SSA/Ro [58], rheumatoid factor (RF) [59], and antibodies against IFN-I [32] reported in up to 25%, 19%, and 10% of patients, respectively. This evidence concerns the gene BTG3 and COVID-19.
