When corrected for potentially confounding factors of tumor size, grade, ER status, and patient age, BAALC expression was the second most important contributor to DMFS in this cohort, with a p-value bordering on significance (p=0.05; Figure 2E), suggesting that BAALC may be a potential prognostic factor that is independent of tumor grade.
