After a Lenti-ALKBH5–induced increase in the expression of ALKBH5 in glioma cells, ALKBH5 activated the AKT2 signaling pathway through enhancing the expression levels of total AKT2 and p-AKT2 without influencing the expression levels of total AKT1, total AKT3, p-AKT1, and p-AKT3. The gene discussed is AKT1; the disease is central nervous system cancer.
