TP53 and lung cancer: After stratifying by ethnicity, this metaanalysisindicated an obvious association of TP53 (rs1042522)and lung cancer risk among Caucasians (G versusC: OR == 0.83, 95 % CI 0.73–0.95, p = 0.005; GG versus CC: OR = 0.83,95 % CI 0.73–0.95, p = 0.005; GG+GC versus CC: OR = 0.88,95 % CI 0.77–1.00, p = 0.045) and among Asians (G versus C:OR = 0.76, 95 % CI 0.63–0.92, p = 0.005; GG versus CC:OR = 0.84, 95 % CI 0.67–1.06, p = 0.136; GG+GC versus CC:OR = 0.81, 95 % CI 0.69–0.96, p = 0.012).
