LGALS3 and Telangiectasia: We found a statistically significant association between higher values of Gal-1 and the presence of telangiectasias (234 ng/ml vs. 157.68 ng/ml, p = 0.015) and between higher Gal-3 values and the presence of telangiectasias (2.45 ng/ml vs. 1.69 ng/ml, p = 0.021), diarrhea (2.89 ng/ml vs. 2.12 ng/ml, p = 0.039) and constipation (2.75 ng/ml vs. 2.08 ng/ml, p = 0.038) (Table 2).
