Indole derivatives IDC92 have been tested for modulation of RNA splicing in breast cancer where these were able to show anti-proliferative activities in the cancer cells, and not only reverse the abnormal splicing form ΔRON (of proto-oncogene RON), but also the invasive phenotype of the breast cancer cells without altering the splicing of other targets like SF2/ASF [71].
