Interestingly, MPS-induced suppression of phosphorylated-MARCKS caused the activation of several key members of the autophagy pathway including Microtubule-Associated Protein 1 Light Chain 3 Beta (MAP1LC3B), CDK1B/p27kip1, and PUMA, all of which have the potential to play a key role in the survival of MM cells. This evidence concerns the gene CDKN1B and Miyoshi myopathy.
