Table 2 includes only the significant associations between the variables and gene mutations. Well-differentiated histology was significantly associated with EGFR mutations, but not so for KRAS mutations (p<0.001). Poorly differentiated histology was associated with the absence EGFR and KRAS mutations (p<0.001). Patients with lung adenocarcinoma were significantly associated with KRAS and EGFR mutations (p<0.001), but other subtypes such as squamous cell and large cell carcinomas, were associated with the absence of KRAS and EGFR mutations (p<0.001) (Tables 2 and 5). Here, EGFR is linked to lung adenocarcinoma.
