Patients were divided into four categories of former indications for LT: ALD (alcoholic liver disease, n=25), HCC (hepatocellular carcinoma, n=5), HCV (hepatitis C virus-associated, n=7), and other indications including primary and secondary sclerosing cholangitis, primary biliary cholangitis, hepatitis B virus-associated liver cirrhosis, hemochromatosis, autoimmune-hepatitis, alpha-1-antitrypsin deficiency, and acute liver failure (n=24) (Table 1). The gene discussed is PSMA6; the disease is autoimmune hepatitis.
