Nevertheless, our study answered a crucial question for clinicians to comprehend the role of aPL antibodies in COVID-19 induced thrombosis, and found that the presence of aPL antibodies did not increase the risk of thrombosis or mortality in critically ill patients with COVID-19, which can serve as a useful guide for rheumatologists, in particular, as our results have ascertained that the presence of aPL antibodies during COVID-19 is not involved in the hemostatic abnormalities in COVID-19.
