In longitudinal work from the AD Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI) cohort, Koran et al. (2017) examined the impact of sex and AD biomarkers (CSF Aβ42, total‐tau) on hippocampal volume and cognitive performance in participants with mixed cognitive status (normal n = 348, MCI n = 565, AD n = 185) at their baseline visit and over an average of 2.5 years (range = 0–9 years, Mage across all groups at baseline = 72–75 years). This evidence concerns the gene MAPT and Alzheimer disease.
