Differently from Group G, composed by healthy individuals, Group H was composed of dengue-like symptomatic patients seeking assistance during epidemics that occurred from 1998 to 2010, but who were negative for dengue by serological (IgM, IgG and NS1 ELISAs) and molecular (RT-PCR) tests, and also negative for chikungunya by serological (IgM and IgG ELISAs) and molecular (RT-PCR) tests. This evidence concerns the gene CD40LG and dengue disease.
